What to Expect

Sail the British Virgin Islands on a luxury ocean yacht or catamaran with our experienced crew. Every morning, there will be 2-3 hours of sailing from one island to the next, followed by onshore activities of your choice. Day activities onshore include visiting coveted beaches, swimming among marine life, hiking to the secluded coves, snorkelling among brilliantly coloured coral gardens and reefs, stand-up paddleboarding, kitesurfing lessons with a certified instructor, relaxing on the yacht, dining, shopping, yoga classes and more!

We will cook healthy and delicious meals onboard, using fresh products from local markets. While this is optional, we highly recommend onshore dining to make the most of your travel experience and to truly get a taste of the local culture.

Itinerary

Day 1Tortola Island

Your journey begins in Tortola, the British Virgin Island’s’ relaxed capital. With its untouched natural beauty and an array of activities, Tortola offers the best of both worlds, all in twenty-one square miles. After you settle in, we will be off to explore the island. Ascend Tortola’s Sage Mountain for breathtaking views or spend the afternoon on the beach.

Day 2Jost Van Dyke

Jost Van Dyke is a vibrant island with lots of activity. The smallest of the four main islands, Jost Van Dyke is packed with fun and natural beauty. Get the party started at Foxy’s Bar with one of their famous Painkiller drinks and wander barefoot along the sugar-white sand. You can also explore the rugged, mountainous terrain and colourful coral reefs just beyond its secluded beaches.

Day 3Guana Island

A thriving tropical landscape, this 850-acre private island has more flora and fauna than any island its size in the Caribbean. Swim to Monkey Point, just off Great Guana Island, for some incredible snorkelling, or enjoy the beautiful sand beach between Monkey Point and White Bay. Have lunch before heading back to Marina Cay.

Day 4Virgin Gorda

Sail to Virgin Gorda early in the morning and take advantage of your time at the “Baths.” This astonishing collection of granite boulders and naturally formed sea water pools are begging to be explored. Spend the morning there before heading over to Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour. Once your captain has secured a mooring, check out Spanish Town. Eat lunch here, go shopping, and stop at one of the several bars there. For the more adventurous, a climb to the summit of Gorda Peak is another option.

Day 5Virgin Gorda

Get the most out of Virgin Gorda Sound and visit what you missed on your first day. If you’re looking for more to do, head to Bitter End to keep your whole group entertained or grab lunch at the Biras Creek restaurant. During the day, take your yacht’s tender to Eustacia Sound to snorkel and sneak a peek at Richard Branson’s privately owned Necker Island. For more adventure, consider a day of kitesurfing on the open water!

Day 6Anegada

Carry on to Anegada, a small low-lying island surrounded by coral reefs. The deserted paradise of Anegada is the best kitesurfing spot in the British Virgin Islands. The island is also home to unique fauna, including pink flamingos and rock iguanas. Your captain will take you around the area so you can enjoy a barbeque at Lowell’s Anegada Reefs Hotel or grab fresh lobsters right on the beach.

Day 7Cooper Island

Cruise to Cooper Island, making a stop along the way at Fallen Jerusalem or ‘The Dogs.’ Fallen Jerusalem is an ideal site for snorkelling, with a national park that features a bird sanctuary and a secluded beach. The Dogs is an excellent dive site and there you’ll find exotic fish, colourful coral, and even a plane wreck! Cooper Island is quintessentially Caribbean. The pristine beaches will make it hard to leave.

Day 8Peter Island

Discover Peter Island! Though there are several good beaches here, Deadman Bay is reputedly one of the best in the island chain. Stay for a while and then hike over to the windward beach for lunch before deciding between Great Harbour or Little Harbour for your night’s mooring. Peter Island has a luxury resort, so you can take time off from swimming and sunbathing to get pampered and massaged.

Day 9 & 10Norman Island

Find out why everyone loves The Bight. This popular destination at the uninhabited Norman Island is a vibrant, water-based display of Caribbean fun. All the watersports you can imagine are waiting for you here. Row in a kayak, race around on waterskis, or use your last full day to get in some more snorkelling. Don’t miss ‘The Indians’, a group of rock formations in the channel off Norman Island great for snorkelling or diving.

Day 11Tortola

Disembark in Tortola. Stick around, catch a ferry, or board your plane. Just don’t forget how much fun you had!
