What to Expect

Join our crew on a marine adventure aboard a luxury sailing catamaran. You will immerse yourself in a region that caters to all, from beach enthusiasts and wine connoisseurs to history aficionados.

This sailing itinerary is planned for 2 weeks of sailing and we will cover approximately 275 NM. Therefore you will have an opportunity to enjoy the best of two most popular sailing regions in Croatia, Split and Dubrovnik. We will sail for 3-4 hours every morning along the coastline Southern Dalmatian islands and spend the rest of the day enjoying onshore activities of your choice.

While traveling the Dalmatian coast by sailboat you will explore ancient Roman ruins and legends. Also, you will discover and enjoy secluded beaches. You can hike through the national park in Mljet island where Odysseus has stayed for seven years charmed by its beauty. You will explore Korčula. Spend the day and night at the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Dubrovnik, which offer insight into Croatian culture and architecture. Anchor in the quiet bay of Milna, Hvar, and experience the vibrant night life on land. Explore the beaches as the tide comes in and shifts their shape. Enjoy free time to explore the Mediterranean port town of Dubrovnik. The city boasts plenty of churches, monasteries, fountains, and plazas to discover.

The sail boat has 4 double cabins plus 2 single cabins with all linens provided. We will cook healthy and delicious breakfasts and lunches on the catamaran, using the best products from local markets. Onshore, we will book the best local restaurants where you can enjoy European cuisine, fresh seafood and stunning sea views.

Itinerary

Day 1Split

After a warm welcome from the yacht crew at Marina Kastela, you will settle into your luxury yacht. The crew will give a tour of the yacht and comprehensive safety briefing, ensuring full preparation for the adventure.

In the afternoon, you will explore the bustling city of Split. Here, you have the opportunity to visit Diocletian’s Palace, a world-renowned Roman architectural wonder. Stroll through the narrow streets of the old town and take in its vibrant sights and sounds, or opt for a private tour to delve into its rich history. Afterwards, savor delectable cuisine and indulge in a glass of wine at Fantazija Kitchen & Wine, the number one rated restaurant in the city. This marks the beginning of a wonderful sailing journey around Southern Dalmatia islands, and we can’t wait to see what else it holds for us.

Day 2Brac

Sail towards the island of Brac and bask in its charm. On the waterfront of Bobovišća harbor, marvel at the blend of stone houses and rich cultural heritage. Explore its Roman and Byzantine archaeological sites, and feel the warmth of its hospitable people. Next, visit Hvar town and take in its magnificent St. Stephen’s Cathedral. In addition marvel at its 17th-century theatre, and Renaissance walls and buildings. Climb to the top of Fortica (Spanjola) for breathtaking views of the town.

For those seeking adventure, Brac has plenty to offer. Firstly, hike to the peak of Vidova Gora for panoramic views of the Adriatic and surrounding islands. Secondly, bike through lush olive groves and vineyards to the picturesque village of Supetar. Lastly, try your hand at rock climbing, paragliding, or windsurfing for an active experience. With so much to see and do, Brac is ideal for nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike.

Day 3Hvar

Discover the sun-soaked streets of Hvar town. Hvar is known for being one of the sunniest places in the world. Admire the magnificent St. Stephen’s Cathedral and marvel at the 17th century theatre. Or stroll through the enchanting Renaissance walls and buildings. Don’t forget to visit the imposing Fortica fortress, which towers over the town. The fortress offers breathtaking views. After a day of sightseeing, get ready to experience the renowned nightlife of Hvar. With numerous nightclubs and a lively atmosphere, Hvar is a top destination for young tourists.

Alternatively, embark on a cycle tour through fields of fragrant lavender to discover the magic of Hvar Island. Undoubtedly, it is the the lavender capital of the world. Immerse yourself in the sights, scents and flavors of this breathtakingly beautiful place. For a truly unique experience, visit the remote village of Sveta Nedelja and taste the wines of Mr. Plenković, whose vineyards are located beneath the sea. Day 4Korcula

Sail south with a fair wind to discover the picturesque charm of Korčula, the birthplace of Marco Polo, on day 4 of your sailing itinerary. This historic town, surrounded by honey-colored stone walls, is brimming with architectural marvels, from the Gothic-Baroque Cathedral of St. Mark to the Venetian-inspired palace of the Gabrielis family. Immerse yourself in the local culture and witness the traditional sword dance, “Moreška,” a staple of Korčula’s rich history. Explore the birthplace of Marco Polo, climb the St. Marcus tower, and savor a refreshing drink while admiring the Venetian waterside.

Day 5Mljet

Nestled in the heart of Mljet National Park, Polace is a true gem waiting to be discovered. The village is surrounded by lush greenery. In addition, the crystal clear waters of the bay invite visitors to take a dip and explore the underwater world. Also, in the heart of Polace, you’ll find the ruins of a 5th-century Roman palace, a testament to the island’s rich history.

First, take a stroll around the village and admire the stone houses. Second marvel at beautiful gardens, and old church, all of which add to the charm of Polace. For those looking for a more active adventure, hiking trails and biking paths crisscross the national park. They offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Whether you’re a history buff, a nature lover, or simply looking to relax, Polace is the perfect destination for your 5th day of sailing.

Day 6Sipan

Sipan, the largest of the Elafiti Islands, offers a tranquil retreat away from the bustling mainland of Dubrovnik. This idyllic island is a treasure trove of history, culture, and natural beauty. It offers a glimpse into a world where time seems to stand still. The first stop on the island is the picturesque port of Sudurad. It is a small fishing village surrounded by the fragrant scent of pine trees. The village is home to a number of charming restaurants and cafes. Undoubtedly you will enjoy the freshest seafood and indulge in the local cuisinethere.

Walking up the hill from Sudurad, you’ll come across the beautifully preserved medieval village of Sipanska Luka. This charming little town is home to a number of historic churches, including the 15th-century St. John’s Church. It boasts a stunning gothic portal and is one of the oldest churches on the island. Take some time to wander the narrow, cobbled streets, lined with traditional stone houses and fragrant gardens. As you explore, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the warm and welcoming locals. Day 7Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik, the pearl of Adriatic, is more popular that Croatia itself. Once known as Ragusa, the town has been a hub of cultural and historical activity for over a thousand years. Its Old Town, surrounded by impressive city walls, is a true masterpiece of medieval architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take a stroll along the walls for breathtaking views of the town and its surroundings, or wander the cobbled streets and marvel at the ancient buildings and churches. For a unique perspective of Dubrovnik, take a ride on the cable car up to the hillside and admire the panoramic views of the city and the Adriatic Sea.

After a day of sightseeing, relax at one of the town’s marinas and dine at a local restaurant. The town is also famous for its lively nightlife, with plenty of bars and clubs to choose from. For fans of the popular TV show “Game of Thrones”, a tour of the show’s filming locations is a must-do. Day 8Lopud

Today we will sail to Elaphiti, island of Lopud.  You will have the opportunity to experience some of the best beaches in the Dubrovnik region here. Additionally, the island is famous for its serene beauty and unspoiled natural landscapes. And the highlight of your visit will be a trip to Sunj Beach. This idyllic stretch of white sand is a rare gem in Croatia. And its fine, powdery texture and lush green surroundings are sure to take your breath away. Whether you spend the day lounging on the beach or exploring the picturesque hills, this is a day that you will cherish.

The Elaphiti island of Lopud is a true haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Take a break from the beach and embark on a scenic hike through the lush hills and valleys. Your senses will enjoy fragrant pine trees and wildflowers. You will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea and the surrounding islands. After a day of adventure, head to the island’s best dining spot and savor the flavors of local Croatian cuisine. Indulge in delicious seafood dishes, accompanied by a glass of crisp, local wine, as you soak in the idyllic surroundings. Whether you are a foodie or a nature lover, Lopud has something for everyone, making it a must-visit destination on your sailing itinerary.

Day 9Mljet

Embark on a journey to the serene and stunning island of Mljet on the fifth day of your Croatian sailing adventure, where lush greenery and serene waters await your arrival. Nestled within the breathtaking Mljet National Park, the picturesque village of Pomena awaits your arrival. With its tranquil sandy beach, charming fishing village, and idyllic setting, Pomena is a true gem of the Croatian coast. Take a stroll around the two crystal-clear saltwater lakes, Veliko Jezero and Malo Jezero, surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills, or simply lounge on the sandy shore and soak up the sun.

For those seeking adventure, the park offers the opportunity to hike or bike through its pristine wilderness, taking in breathtaking views along the way. Don’t miss a visit to St. Mary’s island, a protected site and home to a historic monastery. A small fee is required to enter the national park, but the experience of exploring its natural beauty is truly priceless. In the evening, treat yourself to a delicious meal at one of the local konoba and bask in the warm glow of another day well spent in Pomena.

Day 10Lastovo

After enjoying the refreshing morning swim and delicious breakfast we will sail to the island of Lastovo. Pasadur, a quaint and charming town on the western shore of Lastovo, is connected to the neighboring Prežba island via a picturesque stone bridge. Taking a stroll along the promenade from the town’s only hotel is a truly romantic experience, with the bridge slowing down time and creating a sense of serenity. Take a leisurely walk, savor the local cuisine, and gaze at the stars from the deck of your yacht in the evening.

During the day, be sure to visit the charming Lastovo town, renowned for its traditional chimneys and timeless values. Alternatively, make today a beach day! Saplun sandy beach, with its serene bay and silky smooth sandy bottom, is a haven for those seeking rest and relaxation. Soak in the tranquility as you swim, snorkel, and simply bask in the peace and quiet of this idyllic location.

Day 11Korcula

As we set sail for Day 11 of our itinerary, we head towards the stunning port town of Vela Luka on the island of Korcula. Surrounded by lush hills blanketed in olive groves, Vela Luka is a peaceful haven, nestled in a serene natural harbor. The turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea beckon, and we can’t resist taking a refreshing swim at the idyllic offshore islands of Proizd and Osjak.

As the day comes to a close and the sun begins to dip below the horizon, Vela Luka transforms into a breathtaking scene. The large bay facing west sets the stage for an unforgettable sunset, painting the sky in hues of orange, pink, and purple. We raise a glass to the end of another perfect day in Croatia, grateful for the experiences and memories we have gathered along the way. The beauty of Vela Luka will stay with us forever.

Day 12Vis

Today we will discover the charming town of Komiža, located on Vic island. Once it was a bustling fishermen’s village surrounded by lush pine forests, olive groves, and sprawling vineyards. Today, Komiža is a lively and picturesque town, with a breathtaking backdrop of Hum hill and numerous serene beaches. Also, Komiža is also renowned for its dining scene, with excellent seafood restaurants, including one specializing in lobsters.  In addition, the town is also a popular diving spot. Explore a number of sunken ships and airplanes. Diverse marine life is waiting to be explored beneath the surface.

Rent a scooter or take an island tour to experience the sights and sounds of the Vis heartland. The town is also the perfect starting point for a visit to the Blue Cave. The cave illuminates with an intense blue light between 11 am and 1 pm. And is best viewed by getting a mooring buoy on the eastern side of the island.  Komiža offers endless opportunities for adventure. And regardless of what you choose to do, Komiža promises a truly memorable experience.

Day 13Vis

Today we will have a short passage to the town of Vis. You’ll have ample time to uncover the hidden gems and local hotspots that make this town so special. Rent a scooter or hop on a bicycle and venture inland to explore the rolling hills and idyllic countryside. It is dotted with quaint, family-run wineries and restaurants.

Immerse yourself in the local culture and taste the flavors of Vis with a traditional “peka” meal. It is prepared by slow-cooking lamb, veal, or octopus for several hours beneath an iron bell. To sample the best of Vis’s local wines, visit the well-known Lipanović winery, just a short 10-minute walk from the town center. And if you’re looking for a lively evening, head to Fort George Club for a night of partying, named after the English king and renowned for its electric nightlife. Get ready to experience the ultimate blend of tradition and modernity in Vis town.”

Day 14Šolta

Šešula bay is the perfect distance from Marina Kastela for your last day sail. As it is less than 12 miles. The bay is surrounded with lush vegetation and hardly any structures. Perfect anchorage for the night! In addition, the two restaurants in the bay will introduce your pallet to delicious Croatian tastes. On the other side of the hill you can find Maslinica town. The clay-clad rooftops are so charming. You can also venture to Kaštelanac winery onl a 20-minute ride away – and find out where the famous Zinfandel draws its roots.

Going ashore to walk to Maslinica town is a pleasant way to spend a late afternoon or early evening. Getting in touch with a local winery – Kaštelanac, and arranging a pick-up from Šešula will get you a glimpse into wine history of the region. Moreover, discover the ancestry of the famous Zinfandel wine and look into traditional vineyards of the island. Alternatively, just relaxing on board in the quiet bay or swim in its turquoise waters. Undoubtedly, is one of the many joys of being on the boat.

Day 15Split

As the morning sun rises over the Adriatic Sea we are filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation. The past week has been a journey of breathtaking landscapes, cultural treasures, and unforgettable memories. We’ve swam in the crystal clear waters, savored local cuisine, and explored ancient towns and villages.

The boat that was once an unfamiliar vessel  has now become our home and leaving it behind is bittersweet. However, we enjoy our final breakfast on board.  And we know that this is not the end, but just the beginning of another chapter in our sailing adventures.
